Turkey is home to the birth of Santa Claus, who was called St Nicholas a historical figure, a patron saint to sailors as they believed he had saved several sailors from sinking so over the years the Dutch shortened his name from Sint Nikolaas to Santa Claus. Having heard that, there are so many things to explore and discover about Turkey, this friendly, beautiful, culturally rich, and very cheap destination. It is also a modern country, which provides a certain comfort, but it still keeps its traditional side, which always makes it interesting. Turkey is the ideal trip for a first city trip alone, with a perfect mix between modernity and tradition.

The best times to travel to Turkey are from during April – May, and September to October. These four months offer pleasantly warm and ideally temperatures from 20°C to 30°C.

Discover Ephesus which was once home to a population of approximately 250,000 and was the capital of Asia Minor in the region’s Roman era. Major monuments in the city are the Library of Celsus, Great Theater, and Temple of Hadrian.
Turkey’s most famous long-distance walking trail winds along the Mediterranean Coast from Fethiye down to Antalya. The scenery along the Lycian Way swoops from craggy Taurus Mountain vistas to rocky pine-forest-clad coves lapped by the Mediterranean Sea.
