Turkey is home to the birth of Santa Claus, who was called St Nicholas a historical figure, a patron saint to sailors as they believed he had saved several sailors from sinking so over the years the Dutch shortened his name from Sint Nikolaas to Santa Claus. Having heard that, there are so many things to explore and discover about Turkey, this friendly, beautiful, culturally rich, and very cheap destination. It is also a modern country, which provides a certain comfort, but it still keeps its traditional side, which always makes it interesting. Turkey is the ideal trip for a first city trip alone, with a perfect mix between modernity and tradition.

The best times to travel to Turkey are from during April – May, and September to October. These four months offer pleasantly warm and ideally temperatures from 20°C to 30°C.
